There are several good reasons to relocate to Katy, Texas. One is that it is well-known for having great schools, which are a cornerstone of the community and an important factor for many families when deciding where to live. And, last but not least, the cost of living is pretty reasonable when stacked up against some of the bigger urban centers in this part of the world. Still, there are a couple of downsides. The heat can be unbearable, and the humidity can be almost as bad. As bad as the traffic can get, though, it is nothing compared to what some other cities deal with. And Katy might not have the big-city allure that some other places do.

(Think of all the delicious rice dishes we've enjoyed in the 150 years since!) Lately, I've been going to more parks in the Katy area. (There are a lot of parks in the Katy area. Seriously, it's park city around here.) One park I've been to a couple of times is Mary Jo Peckham Park, which is right on the edge of Park City.

Numerous individuals hold the view that Katy is a pleasant place. They cite as evidence that it has an array of good schools, an ample supply of parks, and many genial subdivisions. Furthermore, it boasts a variety of retail establishments, restaurants, and, some would argue, not nearly enough traffic, which makes for a safe living environment. Add to that the community ties that many families in Katy seem to enjoy, and you have a recipe for a town that many consider a good place to live.
